We are very proud to announce that our own Richard Wasserman has been named a Volunteer of the Year by the YMCA of Greater NY. In addition to Richard’s work as a Manhattan jeweler, he’s long been dedicated to fundraising for the Vanderbuilt YMCA, which aims to ensure that local children have amazing summertime experiences at YMCA camps. Over the years, Richard has helped dozens of children attend camp, and his goal this year is to make sure 30 kids can have this fun, life-changing experience.
If you’ve met Richard, you know he’s not a person to put himself in the spotlight. This time is no different. He wants to make sure that he knows his accomplishment is due to the many, many people who have helped him help area children. In addition to his family and friends, it’s Richard’s colleagues in the Jewelers Trading Network who have contributed to this effort. Everyone’s part is truly and sincerely appreciated.
With that in mind, we’d like to invite you to learn more about Richard’s work with the Vanderbuilt YMCA and how you can help too! He has a CrowdRise page detailing this year’s campaign. Going to camp gets children out of the hot New York summer weather, where they often have nothing to do and all day long to do it into a healthy, outdoor environment rich with educational and social opportunities. It’s a beautiful way to make a difference!
Thank you for your support.
